Dear friend,
We give alms for the poor and forget about how they live. Only a few try to bring a difference in their lives. The less fortunate also wish to lead a normal life, not to be treated as social outcasts, and make an honourable decent livelihood.
We NITC students are fortunate enough to receive good education and all associated facilities and amenities, we owe some responsibilty towards our society and nation. We can be a beacon of hope atleast for a few, make a difference, however small in our nieghbourhood. More over its an opportunity for us to give back some thing to our society which have painfully nurtured us in many ways.
We believe its nothing other than intense humanity which have driven Mr. Sudheer to initiate this mission that a few may dare to take. His trust named SANTHWANAM is for neglected and abandoned-orphans, street children and deprived sisters. We believe they also deserve same diginity of a social well being.Being a socially commited young man its our collective decision to help him in his endaveour.
Although we will handover by may 2012 ,it will be ensured that through our juniors this mission will continue for years to come. Dr.Paul Joseph, faculty from Electrical Engineering Dept., Will be providing necessary guidance for us and help us to ensure accountability.
Our Vision
1.Provide better infrastructure for the children for a better living.
2.Rehabilitation of their mothers ,guiding them for an alternative livelihood and thus making ‘santhwanam’ a home for them too.
3.Making each child a true citizen of our country with high ethical values and a democratic and secular outlook.
4.Initiating other socially relevant venture as time and fund permits.
